“For me, having backyard chickens is a dream that came true in the summer of 2020. We got our chickens as pullets (about 10 weeks old). Aretha is our Rhode Island Red and Whitney is our Blue Andalusian. They are natural additions to our family! Whether announcing to the other chickens in the area that it’s safe to lay your eggs, playing keep away in their yard or dusting in the sun, they enjoy their time here with us and with themselves. They shared their first eggs with us in late November and have laid almost daily since then.”
